Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie had a surprising answer when asked by Athlon Sports to rank his top three NFL wide receivers ahead of the Super Bowl last week.
“I’ve got Ja’Marr Chase up there,” McDuffie told Athlon Sports. “He’s had a hell of a year. Justin Jefferson I’d put up there.”
For his third pick, McDuffie said he wanted to think of somebody that doesn’t get talked about a lot.
“You know who I think is really good? Courtland Sutton from the Broncos,” McDuffie said. “He’s having a super good year.”
Sutton ranking alongside Chase and Jefferson is extremely good company to be in.

It is perhaps no coincidence that McDuffie ranked Sutton high after the receiver hauled in six catches for 70 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs in Week 10, with this play being the highlight:

McDuffie earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2023 and a second-team All-Pro nod in 2024. Sutton made the Pro Bowl in 2019. They’re set to face off again twice in 2025.
