SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Mayor, Domenic Sarno, and other officials will be providing traffic announcements ahead of two major events taking place in downtown Springfield this weekend.
The Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame enshrinement ceremony will be honoring the inductees from the class of 2024.
Throughout the weekend, there will be plenty of festivities for fans including autograph sessions and basketball tournaments.
To wrap up, the enshrinement ceremony will be Sunday night from 6 to 9 p.m.
And over at the MassMutual Center, the Springfield Thunderbirds will be having their season opener on Saturday followed by another game Sunday afternoon.
Thousands of people will be coming to downtown Springfield to cheer on the T-Birds and celebrate basketball history.
During Wednesday’s meeting Mayor Sarno will be announcing information on street closures, pedestrian movement, available parking areas, and alternate routes.

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — From the San Diego Mojo to the Wave, women's sports is surging, and these up-and-coming San Diego teams are the ones people will see at the
