LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Get ready for a night of glitz, glamor, and excitement at the Golden Nugget with the 30th anniversary of the Tournament of the Stars. We spoke with Karen McReynolds and Eric Fry to get the details on the golf tournament and gala.

The Tournament of the Stars benefits the McReynolds Scholarship Foundation which gives to every high school in Calcasieu Parish. Doors open for the gala at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 18. It will feature door prizes, an auction, and live entertainment such as The Flamethrowers.

There will also be celebrity guests including Hall of Fame Saints linebacker Rickey Jackson, Tyrone Hughes, and Dalton Hilliard, as well as Hall of Fame wrestler Booker T.

Then, on Monday, August 19, the celebrity golf tournament will be held at the Golden Nugget beginning at 8 a.m.
