TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Topeka Golf Association’s 2024 City Stroke Play Tournament wrapped up on Monday afternoon at Topeka Country Club.
Recent Topeka West graduate Myles Alonzo took home the trophy, shooting a 68, 69, 69 (205).
Winning the City Stroke Play seems to run in the family, because his brother, Addison, won it two years ago.
History was made in this year’s tournament, as two holes in one occurred for the first time ever in a TGA Tournament. They were shot by Jeremiah Nelson and Aaron Rethman. Both holes were par three’s.
Luke Leonetti (70, 67, 77 (214)) and Hayden Beck (75, 70, 71 (216)) finished 2nd and 3rd in this year’s tournament.
