Kicker isn’t a position most of us put a lot of thought into when it comes to constructing our fantasy rosters. At least, not until we have to, when our incumbent kicker leaves us a few points short in a close loss or needs to be replaced during a bye.
That’s why it’s important to know which kickers are the best options each week (and likely available). FTW has the answers right here. But first…
Week 10 top performers
- Joshua Karty, Los Angeles Rams (15 points)
- Joey Slye, New England Patriots (13 points)
- Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills (12 points)
- John Parker Romo, Minnesota Vikings (12 points)
Lutz should be higher on this list considering the Falcons allow the most points to kickers in the NFL. But matchups rarely mattered when Lutz failed to crack even five points in five of his last seven games, including the last three. Regardless, this is a good spot for a break out.
Coming out the bye, the Browns are visiting the Superdome where Hopkins should have optimal kicking conditions against a Saints team that has given up a decent amount of points to kickers this year.
After Parker Romo ended up as a top-four performer in his Vikings debut last week, how can you not come back to him here in what’s a great kicker matchup against the Titans.
Coming out of the bye, with a game against the struggling Bears offense, I expect the Packers to spend a lot of time in Chicago’s territory and put McManus in a spot to rack up big points.
With a season-high 11 points last week, things continue to trend up for Sanders since the return of Tagovailoa. That should continue this week against a Raiders team allowing the second-most points to kickers.
