Week 5 in the 2024 NFL season kicks off with a matchup for early supremacy in the NFC South as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Atlanta Falcons.
The Buccaneers enter the contest at 3-1 and on top of the division standings while the Falcons are only a game behind at 2-2. So, plenty is riding on the line tonight as Baker Mayfield and Tampa Bay look to defend their crown while Kirk Cousins and Atlanta want to show it’s their time to rule the south.

I’m kind of surprised at this line. Except for a Week 3 slip-up against the Broncos, the Bucs have looked pretty dominant so far this season. They’ve won by three possessions against the Commanders and Eagles while getting a ‘W’ on the road against the Lions. Meanwhile, the Falcons’ offense has struggled to take flight as their defense and special teams accounted for both of the team’s touchdowns last week. So, I’ll take the points with Tampa and double down on the moneyline.
For the injury report, the Buccaneers have ruled several players out; offensive tackle Luke Goedeke (concussion), defensive tackle Calijah Kancey (calf), wide receiver Jalen McMillan (hamstring), wide receiver Trey Palmer (concussion) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot). Atlanta will be without linebacker Troy Andersen (knee) and running back Jase McClellan (illness) is questionable.
