TUNICA, MS — The Texas Lutheran men’s golf team earned a seventh place finish at the Rhodes College Fall Invitational hosted by Rhodes College at Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Mississippi on Monday.
The Bulldogs closed the event with a 54-hole total of 892, 28-over par. Southwestern University won the event with an 873 tally at the par-72 course.
Dallas’s Jacob Mason posted a four-under total of 212 to claim first-place – winning the event by one stroke.
After entering the final round with a three stroke lead, Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) finished 14th at three-over par (219) over 54 holes. Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) finished 21st at six-over par (222).
Senior Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) climbed 24 spots on the leaderboard Monday to finish in a tie for 29th, signing for a final tally of 224 (+8).
TLU returns to the course October 7-8 at the Alamo City Classic. The event, hosted by Trinity University, will be played at Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, Texas.
