NCAA Football (0.75 Unit) Syracuse First Half Team Total Over 19.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:00 PM CT on FOX
I think this game is going to get out of hand, and I think it will get out of hand in a hurry. You have to feel bad for who’s left at Washington State, as their head coach, both coordinators, multiple position coaches, star quarterback, and plenty of other key contributors have bailed from Pullman. This was already a team that struggled to stop anything, finishing the season 90th in scoring defense and 117th in total defense.
They’re in a very tough spot overall, and especially against a Syracuse team that is essentially fully staffed and ready to put on a show. The Orange have all their weapons for this game, and new coach Fran Brown made a point of how this won’t be a program where players opt out. So with the nation’s leading passer Kyle McCord having his full arsenal at his disposal, I think they come out firing tonight. Against a bad and undermanned defense, they should put three touchdowns on the board no problem before halftime.
NBA (1 Unit) Memphis Grizzlies First Half Team Total Over 59.5 (-110; Odds via Caesars): 7:00 PM CT on Gulf Coast Sports
Well, this angle worked to perfection yesterday, so it makes sense to run it back today. The Grizzlies put up 78 in the first half as I targeted a bad defense from Toronto, and they’ll see an even worse defensive unit tonight. New Orleans is 29th in defensive rating so far this season, and should have no way of slowing down the league’s highest-scoring first half team. After 155 points last night, the Grizzlies should stay hot here and continue to push tempo even on no rest as they’re the fastest-paced team in the league. That’s a good recipe for early scoring, and this number being a couple points lower than yesterday has me jumping in with confidence.
No degenerates today.
