NFL (0.5 Unit) Atlanta Falcons/Philadelphia Eagles Under 46.5 (-110; Odds via Fanduel): 7:15 PM CT on ESPN
There are all kinds of trends and data that show the Eagles are in a position to cover tonight’s spread with ease. But after the bloodbath visited upon favorites yesterday, I’m not messing around with that. What I think we’ll see though is a lower-scoring game, fueled mainly by excellent defense from the Falcons while their offense continues to struggle.
I think Atlanta does a much better job against the downfield attack of the Eagles than what we saw in Brazil when they torched the Packers. I’m also going to remain a skeptic of the Falcons offense and the health of Kirk Cousins until proven wrong. A monstrous and scary defensive front for Philly should make life difficult again for the immobile Cousins, slowing down the Atlanta offense for a second week in a row. And being that both teams are on extended rest here, those games have been 66% to the under so another primetime under should be coming.
