Despite a career built on his competitiveness, one that has taken him to the very top of the sport, Tiger was keen to emphasise what the weekend’s competition was all about.
“This is all about family,” he added.
“This is about bonding and it’s about having a great time together and we did that. This is the thrill of a lifetime for us to be able to experience this together.”
For his teenage son, it is the highlight of a career still in its infancy.
But wherever golf takes him next, he is sure to look back on moments like this among his favourite memories.
“It was awesome, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had,” the high schooler said.
“On top of that I made an ace… I can’t top that.”
