Arkansas’ schedule actually isn’t that bad next year… but it’s not good, and once again the home fans buying tickets in Fayetteville are getting a raw deal early in the season. This time it’s not due to being the home team in a neutral-site game against Texas A&M. The Southeastern Conference released schedules for next season Wednesday night.
The worst part of the schedule is that Arkansas plays its first two SEC games on the road at Ole Miss and at Tennessee and will play its first four games in four different venues. This is pretty typical. That will be three straight years the first two SEC games have been played outside the state of Arkansas.
That is a major disadvantage. The Razorbacks opened at five different venues this season in 2024 and also played their first two SEC games as the away team. In 2023, the Hogs played their first four SEC games away from home, including one neutral-site game.
The only teams with a crappier opening home schedules for fans than Arkansas are Auburn, Vanderbilt and Texas.
