The 2025 WTA Transylvania Open will take place from February 3rd to 9th in Cluj-Napoca.
The Romanian tournament has shifted its schedule compared to previous years
when it was held in the European autumn.

Players
will compete for the 250 points awarded to the champion and a cash prize of
$36,300 from a total purse of $275,094. The main draw is led by Anastasia Potapova, Olga Danilovic, Peyton Stearns and Anhelina Kalinina as well as Simona Halep.

The
Transylvania Open proves to be an appealing destination for several players,
having been voted the best WTA 250 tournament of the year by players in the
last two seasons. The event is closely tied to the vibrant cultural scene and
historical monuments of the region in Romania.

The total prize money sees an increase from 2024, with a champion earning $36,300 and
the runner-up receiving $21,484. Semifinalists will take home $11,970, and
quarterfinalists will earn $6,815.
