Think summer: summer jobs available at Parks and Rec
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Don’t let the freezing temperatures stop you from thinking about summer. This is the time of year that Rapid City Parks & Rec begins the process of seeking seasonal employees.
Doug Lowe is the City’s Recreation Division manager and says there are plenty of opportunities.
“We have a wide variety of positions open,” Lowe said. “We are looking for everything from lifeguards to people who help with park maintenance.”
Seasonal work can be especially helpful for people who need to get real world job experience or older workers who don’t want to commit to a full-time job.
“It’s a good way to just participate in your community and find out how the city works to help those that live here,” Lowe added.
One of the biggest advantages is that the city will provide on the job training.
