Emma Raducanu seemingly cannot catch a break this year after a very difficult 2023 that was dominated by injury.
John McEnroe has been confused about Raducanu in recent times, with the Briton enduring a hugely inconsistent season.
Injuries have, however, played a key part in her downward spirals, with Raducanu recently retiring from the Korea Open.
The 21-year-old made it to the quarter-finals of the competition last month, having picked up impressive wins against Peyton Stearns and Yue Yuan.
But a foot injury forced Raducanu to retire early from her quarter-final clash with top seed Daria Kasatkina.
That withdrawal came shortly after the Briton suffered a disappointing first round exit at the US Open, a competition she won in 2021.
And The Times has now provided an update on when Raducanu plans to make it back onto the court following her foot injury, reporting that she is currently back in London after withdrawing from the Ningbo Open and Guangzhou Open.

The publication noted that she is eyeing a return to Asia for the Hong Kong Open, with Raducanu also wanting to play at the BJK Cup Finals.
Raducanu will miss the Ningbo Open and Guangzhou Open this month, but she is set to return before October comes to an end at the Hong Kong Open.
It gets underway at the end of the month, with the BJK Cup Finals scheduled for Malaga in mid-November.
There, Raducanu plans to represent Great Britain, who have qualified for the team event in Spain next month.

Her male counterparts failed in their quest to qualify for the Davis Cup Finals, which also take place in Malaga in November.
The latter event is certain to attract huge attention given that it will be Rafael Nadal’s final event before retiring.
