DALLAS (Dec. 18, 2024) — The Club at Ruby Hill—the prestigious private club owned by Arcis Golf overlooking Northern California’s lush Livermore Valley wine country—has completed a $2+ million expansion and renovation to its 2,600-square-foot Fitness Center. The transformation of this state-of-the-art facility featuring top-of-the-line equipment and customized programming cement The Club at Ruby Hill’s stature as one of the San Francisco-San Jose region’s most acclaimed full-service private country clubs.
“Health and wellness are extremely important to Ruby Hill’s golf fitness and athletic-minded members,” said Blake Walker, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Arcis Golf. “This investment significantly elevates our commitment to ensure the Fitness Center is our members’ one-stop destination to attain their personal health and wellness goals.” The project is the latest in a series of facility and course improvements since Arcis Golf, a premier owner and operator of golf and country clubs in the United States, assumed ownership.
The totally renovated Fitness Center offers cutting-edge strength equipment, complemented by a full range of machine and free weights, kettlebells, TRX trainers, assault bikes, sleds, concept rowers, foam rollers, and medicine balls to ensure a well-rounded workout.
In addition, the cardio zone features an impressive array of machine technology from Freemotion, highlighted by the innovative 22 SERIES cardio line. With these cardio machine options, members can explore the world by accessing thousands of coach-led workouts right from the gym floor.
The multi-faceted spaces include a group studio, functional training space, cardio equipment, recovery room, access to outdoor fitness yard, and men’s and women’s locker rooms. A dedicated recovery room was thoughtfully designed to enhance the fitness journey with access to an array of essential tools tailored to both pre- and post-workout needs. The Fitness Center, junior Olympic swimming pool, tennis and pickleball complex are located on one convenient campus.
A team of personal trainers operates in four distinct fitness spaces, which allows them to provide a variety of programs and services, including one-on-one training, couples’ sessions, and small-group training. A robust slate of fitness programming and classes also is available, including Yoga (Vinyasa and Flow), Pilates, strength training, bootcamp, water aerobics, flexibility and mobility, and boxing.
More than just a place to work out, the new Fitness Center is envisioned as a sanctuary for body, mind, and soul. Member programming and events showcase experts in nutrition, wellness, and meditation. The Fitness Center renovations and expanded program offerings perfectly embody Arcis Golf’s motto: Live. Connect. Play.
Specialized golf fitness programs and equipment tailored to enhance on-course performance have been added. Golf members of The Club at Ruby Hill enjoy a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design championship golf course, which was the Golden Bear’s first signature layout in Northern California. The course covers 225 acres of rolling terrain while winding through towering oaks and vineyards. The Club also boasts a complete golf practice facility.
The centerpiece of The Club is a 32,000-square-foot Clubhouse, an award-winning wine cellar—which Arcis Golf renovated for $2.5 million shortly after assuming ownership—as well as bocce ball courts and unlimited opportunities for socializing, dining, networking, and special events with banquet space for more than 300 guests.
