After a stirring rally fell short Tuesday against No. 2 Auburn, Texas basketball gets another shot at a signature win Saturday against No. 1 Tennessee at Moody Center.
Despite a late flurry led by Arthur Kaluma, Texas (11-4, 0-2 SEC) never regained the lead against Auburn after clawing out an 8-6 edge early into the game. Kaluma, a senior forward who transferred to Texas from Kansas State in the offseason, scored a career-high 34 points and almost willed the Longhorns to an unlikely rally.
Tennessee (14-1, 1-1) comes in off its first loss of season, a humbling 73-43 defeat to Florida.
Can Kaluma and the Longhorns carry ovetr their late momentum and pick up their first SEC win? Read below for updates.
