Football is back.
The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears kick off the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game at 8 p.m. ET Thursday at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, Canton, Ohio. The game can be watched on ABC and ESPN.
While excitement is sure to be in the air, Thursday’s game is expected to very much resemble a preseason game. No. 1 overall draft pick and Bears quarterback Caleb Williams won’t play. Many Texans starters, including reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year and quarterback C.J. Stroud, are not expected to play as well.
But there are plenty of storylines to follow from tonight’s game, including the seven players being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend: DE Dwight Freeney, LB Randy Gradishar, KR/PR Devin Hester, WR Andre Johnson, DT Steve McMichael, DE Julius Peppers and LB Patrick Willis.
Stay tuned here for all things surrounding tonight’s game from The Athletic‘s NFL beat reporters and more.
