TEWKSBURY — Police are seeking a New Hampshire man accused of breaking into Trull Brook Golf Course in the early morning hours of Nov. 25.
Tewksbury Police responded to the golf course at 170 River Road at 2 a.m. that day after receiving a report of an alarm sounding on the property. Officers arrived to find the glass door to the golf club’s Pro Shop was smashed, and the shop ransacked with several gift cards and sleeves of golf balls missing.
After an investigation in collaboration with police in Lowell, Derry, N.H., Salem, N.H. and Massachusetts State Police, Tewksbury Police identified Andrew McInnes, 40, of Derry, as the suspect for the break-in. A warrant was obtained from Lowell District Court to charge McInnes with breaking and entering into a building in the nighttime, larceny from a building, and willful and malicious destruction of property.
Police have since recovered several sleeves of golf balls and the Trull Brook Golf Shop gift cards believed to have been stolen from the shop.
