LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – After a record setting fall, the Texans are set to open their 2025 campaign out west as the Purple and White will compete in the Wigwam Preview Sunday–Tuesday.
The three-day event will get underway on Sunday as the team will play 18 holes on the opening day. The next and final two days of the tournament will feature 18 holes each. The WAC Preview will take place at Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Wigwam Golf Course features a par 72, 5,885-yard course. Tee times are set for 9 a.m. MT each day.
The lineup for the Purple and White will be as follows. Lou Deltombe will assume the No. 1 spot to open the spring campaign with Mathilde Brogens playing in the No. 2 spot. Louise Depadt will assume the No. 3 hole. Rebeca Fernandez will start in the No. 4 spot while Darianys Guzman will round things out in the No. 5 hole.
Last time the Texans were in action, Brogens led the pack winning The Judson as the team claimed their third second place finish of the fall. The Hammel, Denmark, native, finished her final fall campaign for Tarleton State shooting -6 (210, 69-68-73) and tallied up 13 birdies. Her finish was one stroke shy of her career-best 54-hole low score (-7).
Across the fall campaign, the Texans notched 17 top-20 and 12 top-10 individual finishes. Depadt set the individual 54-hole low in program history of -7 (209) at the UTA Invite which helped lead the Purple and White to the set the new program low team score of -12 (852).
The Texans will compete against nine different teams which includes the host Utah Valley, British Columbia, California Baptist, Idaho State, Seattle U, Southern Utah, Tarleton State, UT Arlington, and Utah Tech.
