White Abarrio continued training Sunday morning for the
encore to his Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational triumph.
The four-time Grade 1 winner breezed a half-mile in 47.8
seconds at Gulfstream Park, the fifth-fastest work at that distance during
training hours.
Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. is targeting the Ghostzapper (G3)
on March 29 for White Abarrio’s next start in a campaign that has the
Met Mile (G1), the Whitney (G1) and the Breeders’ Cup Classic as long-term
targets.
There were 43 breezes by graded-stakes winners across the
U.S. on Sunday. There also were two workouts by 3-year-olds who are long shots
in the Kentucky Derby 2025 futures market at Caesars Sportsbook Nevada.
