Austin scores a triple to extend the Pittsburgh lead to six points. Lampkin misses back-to-back layups, picking up his own rebound in the process. Majstorovic collects the second rebound and scores for the second-chance bucket.
Majstorovic is called for his third personal foul with five second left on the Panthers’ shot clock, and Lowe makes one of two free throws.
Lampkin tried to collect the rebound, but turned it over. After an official review, the call stays in Pittsburgh’s favor.

Starling trades triples with Zack Austin after the timeout, but Jyare Davis picks up his second personal foul. Syracuse has four fouls in the second half.
Dunn adds another jump shot after the inbound pass, making him the fourth Panther to cross into double figures. Dunn’s also the first Pittsburgh player to score 10 points off the bench.
Lampkin draws the foul and an and-one against Corhen. The Syracuse center converts on the three-point play to secure a double-double. He’s got a double-double in five of six games.
Lowe takes over as the game’s leading scorer with a triple from the top of the circle. Lampkin picks up his third foul against Corhen after. Corhen misses both free throw attempts.
Lampkin picks up his 20th rebound of the game, earning himself an assist right after when Bell knocks down his third three-pointer of the game.
Lowe reaches 19 points with a layup right after. Leggett picks up his third personal foul of the game. Pittsburgh has five personal fouls in the second half.

Leggett scores with a step-back jumper out of the timeout, then Dunn follows it up with a triple. Dunn has played with three fouls since the first half and as scored eight points.
Starling, after collecting his third rebound of the game, takes the ball all the way across the court to score deep in the paint. He’s the second Orange player to reach 10 points.
Taylor picks up his second foul of the game in the paint. Lampkin has reached 18 rebounds and has seven points against the Panthers.

Lowe misses the extra point to complete the three-point play. Damian Dunn’s jump shot gives Pittsburgh a 6-0 run, leaving Syracuse scoreless for the last two minutes.
Lucas Taylor ends the drought with a layup, giving him 10 points for the Orange. He’s the first Syracuse player to reach double figures.
Chris Bell turns over the ball, but redeems the turnover on the next possession by scoring a three-pointer.

JJ Starling re-enters the game for the Orange, but Pittsburgh makes all three of its first field goals to take a three-point lead for the first time.
Eddie Lampkin scores on a put-back to close the gap to one point again, giving him a season-high 15 rebounds. Syracuse uses its first 30-second timeout of the half.
Ishmael Leggett and Jaland Lowe both score jump shots to hold onto a Pittsburgh lead. Elijah Moore scores his second triple of the game to keep Syracuse within one possession.
Leggett picks up his second personal foul of the game, and Starling scores on a driving layup off the inbound.
Lowe scores back-to-back layups, giving him 13 points in the game, to give Pittsburgh its largest lead of the game.

Even without JJ Starling and Kyle Cuffe Jr. for most of the first half, Syracuse holds a 33-32 advantage over Pittsburgh at halftime.
The Orange’s sharp shooting in the first half gave Syracuse a nine-point lead just six minutes into the game. Starling only scored three points and had two assists in his nine minutes of game time, but Petar Majstorovic and Lucas Taylor’s six points apiece helped cushion Starling’s absence.
Eddie Lampkin, whose double-double streak was snapped against Clemson, is well on pace for another double-double against the Panthers. He scored five points, but scooped up a game-leading 12 rebounds in 17 minutes.
Ishmael Leggett leads all scoring with 12 points in the Panthers’ favor, shooting 4-for-8 from the field and knocking down two triples. His teammate Cameron Corhen sits behind Leggett with eight points, including two made free throws.
Pittsburgh’s leading scorer Jaland Lowe scored five points in the first half, missing three field goals and also picking up two personal fouls. Lowe played 14 minutes in the first half, taking a seat shortly after picking up his second foul.
Damian Dunn is the only player on both squads with three personal fouls, but three Syracuse players have two personal fouls.
The Panthers held Syracuse to just 2-for-13 from the field in the final minutes of the first half, allowing Pittsburgh to make it a one-point game before the second half. Pittsburgh’s held the lead for 1:03, trailing the Orange for 18 minutes.

Starling and Cuffe’s two personal fouls have kept them on the bench, but Syracuse added four more turnovers against Pittsburgh.
The Orange have 14 points in the paint, including all five of Eddie Lampkin’s points. Meanwhile, Corhen and Leggett have 18 points combined for the Panthers.
Syracuse has held Pittsburgh scoreless for over two minutes, while the Orange are 1-for-11 in their last 12 shots.

Leggett scores a layup to bring Pittsburgh back within one point. The Orange still haven’t scored a field goal since Syracuse reached 17 points.
The Panthers tie it on a 6-0 run, and take their first lead since the opening possession after Damian Dunn sinks two free throws.
Starling picked up his second personal foul of the first half, and he sits on the bench. Majstorovic ends the field goal drought with a triple, giving Syracuse the lead back. He has four points for the Orange.
Pittsburgh ties it on free throws, after Kyle Cuffe Jr. is called for his first foul. Majstorovic adds two more to his point total for the one-score advantage.
Cuffe Jr. picks up his second personal foul against Cameron Corhen, who makes both free throws. Pittsburgh is in the bonus with nine minutes to play in the first half.
Leggett reaches 10 points in the first half, sinking his second long ball of the game. The Orange had held Pittsburgh without a field goal for two minutes before his triple.

After breaking out to a nine-point lead, Pittsburgh holds Syracuse scoreless for two minutes. However, the Panthers only score three points in the drought.
Petar Majstorovic ends the drought with a free throw, but over 70 seconds later the Orange haven’t made a field goal. The Panthers close to gap to four points, with Ishmael Leggett leading the charge with five points.
Syracuse has four turnovers nearly halfway through the opening 20 minutes.

Both teams score on their first possessions, with Starling sinking a triple for a one-point advantage.
The Orange extend it to a four-point lead with two made field goals from Jyare Davis, who picks up five points in the first two minutes of the game.

Pittsburgh cuts the lead down to six, with two free throws coming after Lucas Taylor picks up his first personal foul of the game.
The Panthers are shooting 50% from the floor, but Syracuse is starting the game shooting 86% from the field.
With another chance to sit at .500, Syracuse basketball (9-10, 3-5 ACC) hosts Pittsburgh (12-6, 3-4 ACC) Saturday afternoon in an all-time series going back to 1914.
The Orange hold a 76-50 record against the Panthers, after sweeping Pittsburgh in two matchups last season.
Both teams head to the JMA Wireless Dome after falling to Clemson. Syracuse’s 86-72 loss to the Tigers Tuesday night pushed the Orange back below the .500 marker, meanwhile Pittsburgh’s 78-75 overtime loss against Clemson extended the Panthers’ losing streak to four games.
All four Pittsburgh losses in the last two weeks have in ACC play, stifling the team’s 3-0 start against the conference.
Pittsburgh is Syracuse’s third-most common opponent and the most familiar face in the ACC. Saturday’s game against the Panthers will be the 127th all-time meeting. The only other Orange opponents Syracuse has seen more are Cornell and Colgate — both teams the Orange played earlier this season.
Syracuse’s JJ Starling and Eddie Lampkin have led the way in the last four games, with both players reaching double figures. Starling has scored at least 20 points in four of the last five games, while Lampkin has a double-double across the same amount of time.
For the Panthers, Jaland Lowe is averaging 17.3 points per game. Lowe is one of three players who average over 10 points per game, the others Ishmael Leggett scores 16.6 per game and Cameron Cohen knocks down 10.6 per game.
