Sunday’s Week 5 action in the NFL ends with a matchup between two of the league’s classic teams and two reigning playoff teams as the Dallas Cowboys take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After dropping back-to-back contests the Cowboys got back on track last week with a win against the Giants. Meanwhile, the Steelers are coming off their first loss of the campaign. Both clubs are in highly competitive divisions and are expected to be competing for the division crown, so there are some playoff implications on the line tonight.

Holder’s picks: PIT -2.5, Under 43.5, PIT ML
The Cowboys struggle to stop the run and that will likely get worse now that DeMarcus Lawrence is on injured reserve. Also, Micah Parsons is likely out. The Steelers have the 10th-best rushing attack in the league to take advantage of Dallas’ issues and injuries defensively. Additionally, Pittsburgh has a strong pass-rush led by T.J. Watt while the Cowboys’ offensive tackles are weak. That’s too much working in the Steelers’ favor for me not to pick them and I’m expecting a low-scoring affair.
For the injury report, no game designations have been given at the time of writing. But running back Jaylen Warren (knee), outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee) and running back/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) missed the Steelers’ first two practices of the week. The Cowboys will likely be without wide receiver Brandin Cooks (knee) and Parsons (ankle) as they missed practice as well.
