STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Featured in this week’s Staten Island’s Best Dressed are photos from the GRACE Foundation Golf Outing at LaTourette, a sold-out fundraiser held on Oct. 11, at the LaTourette Golf Course.
The event, which drew enthusiastic participants from across the community, featured breakfast and lunch provided by Kim Cooks and welcomed a special appearance from Wagner High School’s Cheerleading team, whose members generously volunteered their time to assist.
Highlights of the gorgeous, sunny day included a series of exciting contests such as “Beat the Pro,” a rousing golf ball drone drop, and a chance to win a brand-new car with a hole-in-one, courtesy of Island Auto Group. The lively competition and camaraderie brought lots of laughs to the day-long festivities.
The outing was made possible thanks to the support of its presenting sponsors, Empire State Bank and Bill Ferri. Their generous contributions and support helped make the outing a success. Proceeds from the event will benefit The GRACE Foundation — which stands for “Growth and Recognition through Awareness, Community, and Education” — which provides essential services and support for individuals and families affected by autism.
In addition to direct services for individuals, GRACE also supports families by offering counseling, workshops, and resources aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those living with autism. The foundation is deeply involved in raising awareness about autism within the Staten Island community and advocates for inclusivity and support for people with ASD.
Founded in 2000, GRACE provides a wide range of services, including educational programs, social skills training, therapeutic interventions, and recreational activities for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
