WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Sports Betting Committee of the North Carolina State Lottery Commission voted to start the rulemaking process on the fourth set of wagering rules during a public meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
The committee issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for sports wagering and pari-mutuel wagering. You can view the notice online here.
Public comments can be sent in until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 18 through the Commission public comment webform or by email with your name and contact information, business or organization (if applicable), and the rule numbers to which your comments relate.
The Commission has also scheduled a public comment session on Oct. 8 at 9 a.m. at the North Carolina State Lottery Commission Headquarters, 2728 Capital Boulevard, Suite 144 in Raleigh. Anyone who wants to speak must register to speak at least one business day in advance of the hearing.
