In 2022, St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago installed three EV chargers for customer use and the demand for the stations has grown steadily over the last 24 months.
St. Andrews wants to encourage EV use by golfers traveling to the facility and to support “green energy” initiatives whenever possible.
Marianne Hinckley, owner of St. Andrews, said, “When a new technology is available that helps the environment and makes it easier for our customers to visit us and play golf, it’s a win-win!”
Look for the new chargers in 2025.
Located at 2241 Route 59 in West Chicago, St. Andrews is the oldest family owned and operated golf course in Illinois.
It is the recipient of the 2024 “Best Public Golf Course” Award, voted by Daily Herald readers.
