Halloween is coming up quickly. Looking for a new costume or some added decor for the holiday? Every department store has some themed merch, but how about a whole store dedicated to spooky stuff?
Spirit Halloween has been a seasonal franchise business for years, and this year in Billings you can find it in Rimrock Mall along the hall toward Dillards. They have a selection of costumes and decorations to fit any budget, so you can go simple or you can go elaborate.
Before entering and aimlessly wandering the store, perhaps have these two things in mind:
1. Two or three costume ideas. Wanna be a superhero, a pirate, a slasher, a cartoon character, or a monster? What pop culture character would you like to be? Harry Potter fan?
2. Decide the style: cute, scary, or even sexy. Yes, Spirit Halloween has these options.
Once you have your preferences, start shopping. Spirit has entire costume kits plus accessories and make up. And who knows, you may find another option you hadn’t thought before.
How far would you like to go with decorations this year? How much do you want to spend? You can pick up a couple unique items for the workspace or the dinner table, or you can really intimidate the trick-or-treaters at the front door with a towering ghoul or a ravenous alien.
Better to shop sooner rather than later. As the holiday draws closer, the selection may thin out.
Spirit Halloween stores are located in Billings, Bozeman, Helena, Great Falls, Missoula and Kalispell.
One final warning: when they announce closing, make your purchase and get out of there. Don’t want to spend the night with all that.
Well, maybe you do…
