ASHIPPUN, Wis. (WBAY) – A motorcyclist faces his 8th OWI charge after an attempted traffic stop ended with a foot chase through a golf course, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The sheriff says a deputy tried to stop a speeding motorcyclist on County Rd. O in Ashippun shortly after 3 Saturday afternoon.
After a short pursuit, the rider ditched his bike and ran across Erin Hills Golf Course. A suspect was arrested at the golf course and identified as Mark Lepak, 44, from rural Hartford.
The sheriff’s office is seeking charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated (8th offense) and Felony Fleeing and Eluding an Officer.
