Making his first stakes start in the Grade 3 Razorback Handicap on Sunday, Alexander Helios won a stretch duel with Banishing to prevail by head and pick up the highest speed figures among the weekend’s stakes winners.
The 5-year-old son of Cairo Prince earned a 104 Brisnet Speed Rating and 102 Beyer Speed Figures for his performance in the 1 1/16-mile event.
Alexander Helios started his career in California and was moved to Saffie Joseph Jr.’s barn in 2023. He has finished in the money in all 11 starts since the move, including five wins.
Coal Battle, who earned a berth in Kentucky Derby 2025 with his win in the Grade 2 Rebel, earned a 98 Brisnet and 91 Beyer for his performance.
