South Carolina women’s basketball has a chance to get back to its winning ways with a game against No. 15 Iowa State.
The No. 5 Gamecocks (5-1), whose undefeated streak was snapped Sunday at 43 games in a 77-62 loss to now No. 1 UCLA, play two games in the Fort Myers Tip-Off tournament in Florida. They face the No. 15 Cyclones (5-1) on Thursday (1:30 p.m., FOX) and Purdue on Saturday (11 a.m., The Women Sports Network) at Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
Fifth-year guard Te-Hina Paopao had a team-high 18 points and sophomore guard Tessa Johnson had 12 in the loss UCLA.
Iowa State is led by sophomore center Audi Crooks, who is averaging 21.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She had 33 points, including a game-winning layup, against Drake on Sunday.
