On Friday, South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley has her team on the final list for elite class of 2026 prospect Jordyn Jackson. The Gamecocks are joined in Jackson’s top six by the Ohio State Buckeyes, Maryland Terrapins, Miami Hurricanes, TCU Horned Frogs, and Alabama Crimson Tide. She revealed her updated list on social media.

As a player, Jackson is the No. 10 overall prospect in the On3 industry ranking. She also is the No. 5 small forward in the class and the No. 1 player in Washington DC. The Sidwell Friends School product is a 6’1″ wing with nearly unlimited potential.
Jackson can score, defend, and rebound, meaning she can play in almost any type of lineup. Her well-rounded skillset shows up clearly on film. Jackson’s offensive game has grown to the point that she now is a three-level scorer. She impacts the game in a variety of ways, though, and always seems to be around the basketball on defense. She also has a knack for knowing when to leak out from her defensive assignment for easy transition buckets.
Because of her height and athleticism, Jackson can play multiple positions. She is a combo forward at the high school level who can operate in the post or on the perimeter. However, she is quick enough defensively and can shoot the ball well enough on the other end to play shooting guard, as well.

Jackson recently spoke with On3’s Talia Goodman about her recruitment. She had plenty of good things to say about the Gamecocks.
Jackson told On3, “Obviously it’s one of the best schools in the nation. Coach [Dawn] Staley has an awesome resume. She’s an awesome person. I think our relationship is pretty good.” She then added that her development potential at USC is extremely intriguing: “I think I’d develop as a player and as a person tremendously there; I just think that everybody gets better there. I think I’d get better there.”
