On Tuesday, South Carolina coach Shane Beamer was asked about the status of Moore, who hasn’t played at all this season.

The availability report will be updated on Thursday and Friday at approximately 8 p.m. and there will be one final update before kickoff in Tuscaloosa. Beamer a few days before the Kentucky game that he will be working with head trainer Clint Haggard, to put out an accurate report.
“I would imagine a lot of head coaches aren’t going to mess with it,” Beamer said, “just give it to the trainer, the trainer will say, ‘Does this look good,’ the head coach is going to look at it for five seconds and say, ‘Yeah, it’s fine.’ It’s not a big deal. It is what it is, and I don’t think it’ll be too time consuming from my standpoint.”
The SEC is requiring availability reports this season for the first time in its conference history. The availability report mandate only applies to games against conference opponents, so each school will only have to abide by the guidelines for eight of their 12 games in a given regular season.
Schools must release their initial availability report by 8 p.m. on Wednesday of each week and must update it daily with a final report coming 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Player status designations include “available,” “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful,” or “out” before game day; and as “available,” “game time decision,” or “out” on game day.
There are consequences for non-compliance, which includes both inaccurate and late reporting, with fines to the school ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 for football.
