On Sunday night, it was reported that the Alabama Crimson Tide were making a change at the offensive coordinator position, hiring Ryan Grubb to takeover play-calling duties next season.
A long-time Kalen DeBoer assistant, Grubb had previously served with Alabama’s now head coach as the offensive coordinator as Sioux Falls, Fresno State, and Washington, and comes back to Tuscaloosa after having accepted the position last offseason prior to ultimately heading to the NFL to spend a season with the Seattle Seahawks.
After a season in the NFL however, Grubb now returns to college football where he will reunite with DeBoer, this time officially at Alabama. With this, Grubb brings a notable amount of excitement to an Alabama offense that struggled at times in 2024, and gives the Crimson Tide one of the premier offensive coordinators in the SEC.
An all-around significant move for the program for not just in 2025, but beyond, let’s take a look at what some on social media are saying about Alabama hiring Grubb as offensive coordinator.
