TUCSON, AZ, Nov. 12, 2024 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Launching Friday, the fitness gaming app Smash Your Fitness makes indoor cycling irresistibly fun by transporting cyclists to a near-limitless number of richly immersive worlds, multiple gaming modes – workouts, tours, races, and training programs – and a range of interactivity options that will appeal to everyone from casual gamers to seasoned endurance athletes.
Smash will launch on Friday, Nov. 15. Sign up now to be one of the first to ride!
In a uniquely egalitarian take on group exercise, the fitness of everyone’s avatar is equalized – no matter how strong someone may be in the real world, inside Smash, they’re at the same level as everyone else. Purposely designed to create a challenging and engaging workout for all levels of riders, this intrinsic state of fair play allows new riders to compete with seasoned athletes, putting the focus on gaming actions like turning, braking, and carefully deployed power-ups.
“With Smash, when you move, your avatar moves – it’s that simple,” said Smash Founder and Inventor Frank Garcia. “Whether you’re looking for a fun way to get off the couch and be more active, want easy-to-follow structured workouts to help reach fitness goals, or live for the thrill of competition, Smash has a mode that’s right for you.”
Unlike other virtual cycling platforms that require hundreds of dollars in hardware, all cyclists need to Smash is the innovative Smashometer wearable and a stationary bike, or bike and bike trainer. Smash is also compatible with all kinds of smart trainers and smart bikes.
Smash Your Fitness is available today on smashyourfitness.com and will be available shortly from Amazon. The new app costs $9.99/month for a monthly subscription to the game. Cyclists can also buy a Smashometer bundle for $49.99, which includes a 3-month subscription. Annual subscription prices are as inexpensive as $5.99/month.
The rich, immersive worlds in Smash include futuristic sci-fi maps and natural maps based on real places like Paris, France, Dublin, Ireland, and St. George, Utah. Cyclists can also upload their ride files to create Smash versions of real-world rides. To conquer the game, riders need to master the physics and physiology of cycling – slowing their avatars for corners and managing their in-game stamina to finish a ride or race.
Within the game, cyclists can pedal with others from around the world, join paced-group rides led by virtual ride leaders, or engage in head-to-head competition complete with live audio chat. You can also choose from an extensive library of pre-made workouts as brief as 5 minutes and as long as several hours. Need more guidance? Coach Cy, an AI-powered coach, can create customized workouts or workout plans based on a rider’s fitness goals and recent riding history.
With its vast library of immersive worlds, structured workouts, and always-anytime competitions, Smash Your Fitness is the antidote to exercise boredom.

FAQ
What is the Smashometer?
The Smashometer is a small, rechargeable wearable that transmits leg speed to the game via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
What kind of indoor bike or trainer do I need?
The Smashometer allows you to use any kind of indoor bike.
I already have a smart trainer – can I connect it to Smash?
Yes, and then you won’t need the Smashometer. Smash Your Fitness connects to your smart trainer via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or ANT+
How is the riding “equalized?”
Instead of relying on measuring a rider’s aerobic power, the Smashometer transmits cyclists’ leg speed to the game and uses that data to indicate the cyclists’ speed in the game. A similar algorithm is applied for riders who use a smart trainer. With all riders equalized, competitive parts of the game come down to riders’ ability to manage their in-game stamina – displayed on the screen – and to avoid crashes.
What kind of game skills are involved?
Cyclists need to manage their speed by pedaling slower in corners, to carry the most speed possible through turns without crashing. Riders can steer using their phone or keyboard inputs, and riders with indoor smart bikes can use their controls. Or riders can turn on auto steering and focus on pedaling, pacing, and picking up points!
What are the system requirements?
To play Smash, you need a typical high-speed internet connection, plus a PC or Mac running Windows 10 or higher or OS X or higher. Android and iOS versions are coming soon.
Can I use Smash at the gym?
Our mobile app for iOS and Android will be launching later this year, so you can Smash at the gym!
