MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Holiday shopping can get more creative this winter season with the opening of an indoor market at the Dakota Square Mall in Minot.
Organizer Jennifer Hardisky, who is also a usual farmers market vendor, said she wanted to find an indoor space to continue to sell her products during the winter.
Last month, she was able to secure a deal with the mall to allow for some small businesses to come together in what they visualize as an indoor winter market. Fast forward to Tuesday, about five groups of entrepreneurs secured a spot in the center area of the mall.
In the coming weeks, they’ll be posted by Santa Land, near JC Penney. You can find fresh produce, baked goods, beverages and crafts.
“For me to be able to take a small business and make it flourish for not only myself but for people as well, it is very rewarding,” said Hardisky.
Hardisky also owns Bearpaw’s Treats, where she sells baked goods for both pets and people.
For now, the winter market is set to be open until December. It is open every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Those interested in selling their products can contact the Minot Tastes and Creations team on Facebook.
