Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George has had a helluva career. He has been named an All-Star nine times thus far and has made an All-NBA Team six times in his career while also reaching the conference finals three times (twice with the Indiana Pacers and once with the Los Angeles Clippers).
As George now heads to the Sixers, he will look to lead Philadelphia past Round 2 in the playoffs for the first time since 2001. He, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey will form arguably the most talented trio in the league heading into the 2024-25 season.
HoopsHype has been impressed with George’s career so far and has ranked him No. 18 on their list of the top 20 small forwards in the history of the NBA:
Already boasting a borderline Hall-of-Fame resume with plenty of his prime remaining, and with a lot of missed time due to a devastating leg injury, Paul George will undoubtedly finish even higher on this ranking once he does call it a career. An elite two-way player, George can score at a high level from three, the midrange and around the cup.
If George can bring home a title, he will move up on lists such as these and solidify a Hall of Fame resume. He has accomplished so much in his NBA career and the title is the only thing missing for him so far. The Sixers will offer him a great chance to get the job done.
