Sinner – Alcaraz: 19.10.2024 18:00 CEST
H2H: 4-7
Jannik Sinner has won eight straight matches. Last week in Shanghai, Sinner ended up winning the title. He defeated Djokovic in the final in straight sets as we predicted. This has been the most successful season for the young Italian, who became just the fourth player to win two hardcourt Grand Slams in a single season. Here in the exhibition tournament, Sinner won his opening match against Medvedev in easy straight sets. After that, in the semifinals, Jannik defeated Djokovic once again. However, this time, Jannik spent over two hours on the court, and ended up winning the match in three tight sets.
Carlos Alcaraz has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Alcaraz reached the quarterfinals, where he was upset by Machac in straight sets. Here in Saudi Arabia, Carlos won his opening match against Rune in easy straight sets. After that, in the semifinals, Alcaraz defeated Rafael Nadal in straight sets as well. Carlos served well this week, not offering any break points in his first two matches.
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. In their last head-to-head meeting, Alcaraz defeated Sinner in three tight sets as we predicted. Carlos knows how to play against Jannik, and he also enjoys playing at exhibition tournaments, such as this one. We believe that he will be a better player on the court once again, and win this match.
That being said, Alcaraz winning is a value bet.

Djokovic – Nadal: 19.10.2024 16:30 CEST
H2H: 31-29
Novak Djokovic has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Novak reached the final, where he lost against Jannik Sinner in straight sets as we predicted. It was a solid tournament for the Serbian, who has not been playing a lot lately. Here in Saudi Arabia, Novak lost his semifinal match against Jannik Sinner in three tight sets. It was a tight match, but Sinner showed why he is the number 1 player in the world at that moment.
Rafael Nadal has lost three of his last five matches. His last match before this exhibition tournament was at the Olympic Games, where he was stopped by Djokovic in straight sets on his favorite surface. The Davis Cup Finals will be the last tournament of Nadal’s career. Last week, Nadal announced his retirement, and that he would retire from professional tennis after representing Spain at the Davis Cup Finals. Here in Saudi Arabia, Nadal lost his semifinal match against Alcaraz in straight sets.
According to the bookies, Djokovic is the big favorite in this matchup. Nadal is far away from his best level, so we believe that he will have no chance against Djokovic on the hard court surface. Novak is still playing at the highest level, so we expect him to dominate against Nadal from the very start.
That being said, Djokovic covering the games handicap is a value bet.
