SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – One Siouxland mom felt the impact of last week’s Crowdstrike outage after her daughter’s flight to Memphis was stopped in Minneapolis.
Misty Thomas says her 17-year-old daughter was headed on vacation from Sioux Falls to Memphis with a stop in Minneapolis.
Her flight left Monday night from Sioux Falls as planned. But the connecting flight was canceled, leaving her daughter to take a bus back to Sioux Falls early Tuesday morning.
Thomas says Delta isn’t refunding her for the first leg of the flight. And, while they’ve since agreed to refund the rest of the trip, she’s been told that could take two billing cycles.
“And then just, you know, her being 17 I just think that like, I don’t think they were prepared for all the minors that were left unattended,” said Thomas.
Thomas’s daughter was able to make a different flight on Wednesday and is now on vacation in Memphis.
