Whether you’re looking for new pieces for your wardrobe or you want to do a bit of early Christmas shopping, Walmart is a good place to get started. You can find so many affordable items there and, while the quality varies based on what you get, you’re bound to walk away with at least a few things crossed off your shopping list and within your budget.

But what should you buy this fall? GOBankingRates spoke with shopping experts about their favorite buys from Walmart this fall.
Sarah Jankowski, director of user growth and integrated marketing at Shopkick, said one of her favorite fall buys is allergy medication.
“Walmart’s Equate brand offers affordable, effective allergy relief at a fraction of the price of national brands,” she said. “It’s a staple for keeping symptoms in check during the changing fall weather.”
For example, these Cetirizine Hydrochloride tablets offer 24-hour allergy relief for such symptoms as sneezing, runny nose and itchy eyes, nose or throat. They come in various sizes, like a 45-count container for about $10.

Do you enjoy cooking? If so, Walmart has a decent supply of affordable cookware. For Jankowski, the Pioneer Woman brand is her one of her go-to options.
“As I transition into fall cooking, Pioneer Woman’s cute and functional kitchenware is perfect for whipping up comfort meals,” she said. “Plus, it’s exclusive to Walmart!”
You can get an entire set of Pioneer Woman cookware for under $100. This specific set includes a five-quart Dutch oven, four-quart everyday pan, two-quart saucepan, 10-inch fry pan and 10×10-inch griddle. It also comes with matching lids, a spoon rest, spoon and slotted turner, and three felt pan protectors.
Another great fall find is Walmart’s home organization supplies.
“Fall is a great time to get organized before the holiday rush, and The Home Edit’s stylish storage solutions — available only at Walmart — make it easy to declutter,” said Jankowski.
Whether you’re looking for large, clear plastic storage bins with built-in dividers — $30.98 for a set of four — or a smaller, multi-purpose system like an eight-piece set for $19.98, you’ve got options.
As the chillier fall weather sets in, Walmart’s the place to go for a few new sweaters.
“Fall shopping is always exciting for me, because it’s a season of transition, and I love how clothing and accessories shift to match the mood of the cooler weather,” said Nguyen Huy, a consumer trend analyst, luxury brand expert and founder of Kory Threads. “My Walmart cart tends to reflect that.”
Some of Huy’s fall buys are knit sweaters, which generally cost between $20 and $30 at Walmart.
“You can never have too many, and Walmart has some great affordable options,” said Huy. “A soft, neutral-toned sweater is perfect for layering, which is something I focus on a lot in the fall. It’s practical because you can dress it up or down, and it pairs well with almost anything.”
Another item in Huy’s Walmart cart this fall is a nice pair of dark wash jeans.
“Fall is all about deeper tones, and dark denim is a versatile staple that can easily transition from a casual day out to something more polished in the evening,” Huy said. “Plus, it’s easy to wear with boots.”
Expect to spend between $30 and $60 for a pair of jeans at Walmart.
Fall is all about accessorizing and layering up, but there’s no reason to skip out on being fashionable. For Huy, ankle boots and a plaid flannel shirt are also must-have additions this fall.
“I can’t miss out on a pair of ankle boots,” said Huy. “They are essential for fall — they’re practical for the weather and add a bit of edge to any outfit.”
As for plaid flannel shirts, there’s something iconic about them.
“I love how it can be worn on its own or layered over a t-shirt or under a jacket. There’s something about plaid that just screams fall to me,” Huy said.
Ankle boots costs around $20 to $30 at Walmart. Plaid flannel shirts range from around $10 to $30, depending on the size and brand.
While you might not find that many higher-end electronics at Walmart, you can still grab a few accessories. Jankowski said she generally picks up things like phone chargers and batteries thanks to the lower prices.
A simple Samsung wall charger costs about $15 to $20. A 48-pack of AAA Alkaline batteries costs $15.
