A tragic collision involving a golf cart in Annapolis has resulted in the death of a local woman. On November 9, 2024, at approximately 7:24 p.m., Anne Arundel County Fire Department responders called the Anne Arundel County Police to the 600 block of Maid Marion Hill in the Sherwood Foerst community, to assist an injured individual.
Details of the Incident
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident involved an E-Z-GO golf cart carrying two individuals. One passenger, identified as Mary Blasetti, a 32-year-old from Annapolis, sustained life-threatening injuries. She was airlifted to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where she succumbed to her injuries on November 11, 2024. Friends of Blasetti have established a GoFundMe account to benefit her husband and 2-month old child.
The driver of the golf cart, a 32-year-old woman from Crownsville, Maryland, has not been identified by name.

The Traffic Safety Section of the Annapolis Police Department is conducting an active investigation into the collision. No further details have been released at this time.
