FAIRFIELD, CT — With the fall semester underway, Fairfield has plenty of available public school jobs, particularly for substitute teachers.

Out of 28 jobs currently available in Fairfield Public Schools, 11 are for substitute teachers. Another four openings are for support staff, and four more positions are available for maintenance or custodial workers.

It’s important to note that just because the school district is looking to hire for a position, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a new position added to the budget.

It could be a seasonal job, or a vacancy to fill, or even to fulfill a mandate, including in the special education program.
