On Thursday, Apple shared information on a new golf comedy series with a star-studded cast that includes appearances from some of the most prominent names in the sport.

In a press release on the new comedy series called Stick, the network outlined that the ten-episode first season of the show will be executive-produced by Owen Wilson, who will also star as the main character portraying an “over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer” acting as a mentor for a “troubled 17-year-old golf phenom”, a character Peter Dager will play.

Several PGA Tour golfers will feature in the debut season, including Max Homa, Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley, Collin Morikawa, and Wyndham Clark.

On top of this, numerous prominent media members within the sport, including CBS golf broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman, along with golf insider Daniel Rapaport, will be featured in “additional cameos” throughout the first season.

Additionally, the series will also include appearances from several members of the uber-popular YouTube golf group Good Good. Matt Scharff, Brad Dalke, and Garrett Clark will all be appearing on the show.

We have of course seen Apple TV’s success with comedic sports-related series in the past when it comes to the hit series Ted Lasso.

With this many high-profile names featuring on the show and the back-class Apple TV has when it comes to sports comedies, it is easy to see how Stick could very well be the network’s next great success in the sports comedy genre.

According to Apple’s press release, the first three episodes of Stick will be released on June 4, with new episodes being released each Wednesday until July 23.
