Serena Williams has a Swiftie in her household.
The retired athlete recently shared some insight into her eldest daughter’s interests, and it sounds like Taylor Swift is at the top of the list.
While attending an event in Boston this week, the tennis champion made a bold declaration about how much her firstborn daughter likes the “Cruel Summer” songstress.
And apparently, the 7-year-old is more interested in an “Anti-Hero” than traditional princess fairytales.
“My daughter just turned 7,” Williams said about her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., one of two children she shares with her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. “She’s not into princesses, she’s into Taylor Swift.”
Of course, Alexis isn’t the only one, as Williams, 42, then added, “I am too.”
Williams and Ohanian’s younger daughter, Andira River Ohanian, is still too young to enter her own Swiftie era, being born just over a year ago in August 2023. However, something tells us that her mom and big sister will show her the way.
Williams’ and her family clearly aren’t the only ones to have been bitten by the Swiftie bug, as the “Karma” songstress has reached new levels of success over the past year, breaking records with her Eras Tour in Europe, making history at the 2024 Grammys, dropping her newest album The Tortured Poets Department and turning heads everywhere she goes with boyfriend Travis Kelce, just to name a few of her recent feats.
Several of Swift’s fellow musicians, as well as celebrities from the film industry and multiple famous athletes, like Williams, have spoken out about their support for the singer and her music over the past year or so.
Even Vice President Kamala Harris has voiced her praise for Swift, following the singer’s official endorsement of her 2024 presidential candidacy earlier this month.
