A cricket fan was left red-faced after causing a car accident due to being star-struck by teen sensation Sam Konstas.
In vision shared on Sydney Thunder’s Instagram page, Konstas can be seen arriving for training at Cricket NSW’s headquarters at Sydney Olympic Park.
The 19-year-old was wheeling his kit as a 4WD pulled into a parking spot.
Seconds later, the man – who appeared to have reversed into a disabled access spot – leapt out of his car to greet Konstas, as he presumably looked to get an autograph and selfie.
In comical scenes, the man forgot to put his handbrake on and could then be seen sprinting towards his moving vehicle.
His valiant effort came too late, as his 4WD rolled straight into a parked car metres away.

Daily Mail Australia understands the owner of the 4WD was in Sydney’s west as his son was taking part in a school holiday clinic run by Cricket NSW.
‘The Konstas effect,’ the caption from the Thunder read.
‘We obtained approval from all parties involved to share this footage. No one was injured.’
Young gun Konstas made his Test debut on Boxing Day against India at the MCG, where he plundered 60 against a shell-shocked attack featuring champion paceman Jasprit Bumrah.
A series of audacious shots at the crease got under the skin of the tourists, notably superstar Virat Kohli.
Rising star Konstas later said the incident caught him by surprise.
‘I think the emotions got to both of us. I didn’t quite realise, I was doing my gloves and then [there was] a little shoulder charge,’ he told the Seven Network.
‘It happens, it’s cricket.’
Konstas was recently named in the Aussie Test squad to tour Sri Lanka later this month and hopes to feature at the top of the order in the two-game series.
