The Seahawks signed quarterback Jaren Hall to their practice squad ahead of Monday’s practice, giving them a third quarterback heading into the start of the regular season.
Hall, a fifth-round pick out of BYU in last year’s draft, was waived by the Vikings last week after making the initial 53-man roster. Receiver Easop Winston Jr. was released to make room on the practice squad.
Hall, a two-year starter at BYU, made his NFL debut coming in for an injured Kirk Cousins last season, and would later start two games as a rookie, completing 13 of 20 attempts for 168 yards with one interception. During his two years as a starter at BYU, Hall threw for 5,754 yards, 51 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while also rushing for 685 yards and six scores. Hall also played baseball at BYU.
