The National Football Foundation announced their All-Star 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class. Seahawks Legend Darrin Smith and current receiver, DK Metcalf’s father, Terrance Metcalf were named as part of the class. Smith was a linebacker at the University of Miami from 1989-1992 where he won two National Championships and then went on to play in the NFL for 12 years with four different teams, the Cowboys, Eagles, Seahawks and Saints. During his time with the Cowboys, he won two Super Bowls – XXVIII and XXX. When Smith played for the Seahawks, Smith started 27 games had four interceptions, 2 of them returned for touchdowns.
Metcalf played at Ole Miss from 1997, 1999-2001, was a two-time First Team All-SEC selection (2000, 2001) and was named the SEC’s Most Valuable Lineman in 2001 by the Birmingham Monday Morning Quarterback Club. Metcalf was drafted by the Bears and spent his seven year NFL career in Chicago, which included their 2006 appearance in Super Bowl XLI.
