Scottie Scheffler is yet again at the top of the oddsboard heading into a major tournament.
Scheffler, who is a +450 favorite for the British Open at FanDuel Sportsbook, has been the outright betting favorite at all four golf majors this year, something not seen in more than a decade.
He is the first golfer since Tiger Woods in 2013 to be the pre-tournament favorite at all four majors in a season, per ESPN.
Scheffler has now been favored at eight consecutive majors, tying him with Woods for the longest major streak in the last 15 years, the outlet reported.
Unsurprisingly, the betting public is all over Scheffler ahead of Thursday’s tee times.
Scheffler is getting 7.9 percent of bets and 16.6 percent of the handle at ESPN BET.
It’s even more exaggerated at BetMGM, where Scheffler has attracted 14.3 percent of bets and 23.7 percent of the handle.
Scheffler is also the most popular golfer to win the Open Championship at DraftKings and FanDuel.
Despite being favored at all three previous majors this season, Scheffler has walked away with just one major trophy thus far.
Scheffler won the green jacket at the Masters in April as a historic +450 favorite.
He was once again favored at the PGA Championship, but after a rollercoaster tournament that found him in a jail cell before the second round, Scheffler finished tied for 8th.
At the US Open, Scheffler struggled from the get-go as a massive favorite, barely making the cut and failing to shoot a single round under par.
Scheffler has played in just one tournament since then, the Travelers Championship, which he won in a playoff against Tom Kim.
Rory McIlroy, who is looking to redeem himself after a collapse at the US Open, is the only other golfer entering the tournament with odds better than 10/1, sitting at +850 odds at FanDuel.
