DAYTON – Wright State head golf coach Conner Lash announced Friday the addition of Scott Thompson as an assistant coach for the Raiders.
“Scott brings a wealth of knowledge to our team, which will undoubtedly enhance the golf IQ of our players,” Lash said. “His expertise spans the golf swing, the analytics behind the game, and supporting student-athletes as they navigate college athletics at Wright State. Having been in their shoes himself, he offers a unique perspective and understanding of their journey.”

Thompson finished his Raider career with three top 15 finishes in his four Horizon League Tournaments, tallying and 11th-place finish as a senior in 2012 after beginning his career with tied for 15th in the 2009 HL Championship.
No stranger to the area, Thompson prepped at Miamisburg and was a four-year letterwinner before joining the Raiders, where he also served as a graduate assistant following his playing days while completing his Master of Accountancy from Wright State. He rejoins the Raiders after most recently serving as Miamisburg’s golf coach.
