The boys’ high school basketball season continues after top prospects A.J. Dybantsa (2025 ESPN 100 No. 1, BYU commit) and Darryn Peterson (2025 ESPN 100 No. 2, Kansas commit) put on a show in their head-to-head matchup (Prolific Prep vs. Utah Prep) this past weekend. Peterson scored 58 points, a program record, including the game-winning 3-pointer, to lift No. 4 Prolific Prep to an 88-86 victory. Dybantsa posted 49 points and 9 rebounds in the loss for Utah Prep, which now ranks No. 19 overall in the nation.
Elsewhere, Columbus (FL) held on to the No. 1 spot in the rankings for a fourth consecutive week, with a 22-3 record overall. And Paul VI moved up five spots to No. 14, after collecting three wins in WCAC play — including a true road win over Bishop O’Connell.
