LINCOLN, Neb. (KSNB) – Sandy Creek football took its undefeated record to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on Monday for its first-ever appearance in the state championship game.
The Class D1 top-seeded Cougars lined up with No. 2 Stanton, who beat them in the state semifinals a year ago.
Ethan Shaw led the charge as Sandy Creek got vengeance for that 2023 loss, beating the Mustangs 44-42 to claim the program’s first state title in history.
