Salma Hayek attended Qatar’s Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) dinner in London on Wednesday, celebrating the FTA 2023 winners. Hayek donned a monochromatic burgundy ensemble featuring a fitted dress paired with a matching jacket from Gucci’s spring 2024 “Ancora” collection. She completed her outfit with deep-red platform sandals and a Gucci Bamboo handbag.
Gucci’s spring 2024 collection marked the runway debut of Sabato De Sarno as the brand’s creative director. “He leaned into the clean, elegant daywear trend seen at Prada, among others, with 1960s-meets-1990s tailored coats, super-short shorts and cute logo rompers and jumpers, body-skimming tanks and knit sets, baggy jeans and crystal bra tops,” WWD previously reported.

Fashion Trust Arabia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering financial support, guidance and mentorship to emerging designers from the Middle East and North Africa region. The sixth edition of the Fashion Trust Arabia awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, in October as part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture.
Last month, Hayek attended the premiere of “Emilia Perez” at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival in a black strapless sequined column gown, accessorizing with statement necklaces, a sculptural gold bangle and a leather clutch. She walked the red carpet alongside her husband, Kering’s chief executive officer, François-Henri Pinault. The actress has been a staple at the Cannes Film Festival since the 1990s, premiering several films and also serving as a member of the main competition jury in 2005.
